Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I Register?
Click the "Register for Camp" button in the upper right hand corner of our website to complete our secure online registration.

When is the Registration DEADLINE?
Typically, we accept registrations until two weeks prior to the start of each camp.

How do I Pay?
Secure online payments are available via Credit Card. If mailing in your registration form, we are able to accept cash, check, or money order.  Please make checks payable to Husker Volleyball Camps.

What's the difference between Individual 1, Individual 2, and Individual 3?
All three consist of the same schedule; we just offer the camps on different days.  Typically, campers only attend one session, but we have had a handful that repeat the camps for extra training.

Refund Policy

Refunds will ONLY be given due to illness or serious injury.  A letter requesting a refund must include a thorough explanation and a signed doctor's excuse note.  No Exceptions.  In order to cover our expenses, $50 will be non-refundable on all refund requests.  If an application is withdrawn for any other reason up until the camp session begins, tuition will be refunded less the $100 non-refundable deposit.  NO refunds will be given over the phone.  ALL must be written and turned in prior to the camp you are planning to attend.  Refunds will be processed after the last camp session has ended.  If preferred, you can fax your request to 402-472-9399.

Campers may request their roommates. University housing holds two to a room with corner rooms holding three. Corner rooms are limited so if you have a group of three, please get your application submitted early. We do our best in complying with these requests. In some cases multiple people ask for the same group in which we room them next door to each other. The Huskers stay on each floor to assure the safety of all live-in campers.

Because UNL Summer School is in session during all camps, parking is at a premium on campus.  For campers that drive, University Housing offers surface lot passes that are valid in front of the dorms.  These usually run between $10-15 and will be made available at check-in.  For parents of commuters or those who would like to watch practice, the University has multiple garages on campus that offer your best option.  These garages are $1/hour or a $5 daily maximum. Also, you may purchase a parking pass at check in.

Can Parents watch Practice?
Of course!

How do I know if I'm Confirmed for Camp?
Upon completing registration you will receive a confirmation email with important camp information and a receipt of your purchase.  This email will not be generated until one of our staff members has accepted you into the camp, however, you should receive it within 36 hours of registering.

What should I bring to camp?
Please see detailed list under each individual camp description.  Knee pads, tennis shoes and work out clothing are the bare necessities.  If you are staying in the dorms, you will need toiletries and a blanket.  Sheets and a pillow are provided.

What NOT to bring to camp?
Please leave expensive and valuable items such as iPods, jewelry, Xbox, PS3, TVs, cameras, and watches at home.  We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Camp Store

A camp store is available to purchase Husker apparel (t-shirts, spandex, sweatshirts, etc) We take check or cash.

Full-Time Athletic Trainer
Members of the University's athletic training staff are on hand for all sessions.  A doctor is on call and the Student Health Center is readily available.  We recommend that each camper be in excellent physical condition.  This not only prevents injuries, but also makes the learning process much easier. (No camper can be given treatment without a copy of his parent release and physical form/doctor's signature - see attached form)

Health, Safety and Insurance Coverage
All participants should be covered by personal medical insurance.  The accident insurance provided

by the camp is on an excess basis.  Also, all minor injuries and preventive care will be handled by the Nebraska athletic medicine staff.  Please make sure your forms are signed and dated correctly by your physician, certifying that you are able to participate in an active volleyball camp.

Commuters need to come to registration in order to check in, pay any balances, turn in required paperwork, and receive meal passes.  Meal tickets are provided with your camp fee if you are a commuter with meals.  For information on when and where to drop off/pick up your child, an itinerary for each camp can be picked up at check in.

The Husker Volleyball Camp is open to any and all entrants without regard to disability, race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, or sexual orientation.  Registrants are limited only by number, age and/or grade level.

The Husker Volleyball Camps has the right to deny applicants admittance into any camp due to delinquent funds from previous years' camps.  Applicants must clear all outstanding balances due to the Husker Volleyball Camps before participating in 2013 camps.

Any further questions please email the camp staff or contact 402-472-2399 to speak with someone.  Typically, emails get faster response versus voice messages.
